Eagle was founded in 1862 with the discovery of gold in Boise Basin, as well as in other Idaho mountain locations to the north. Eagle Island State Park
Eagle Island State Park is 545 acres west of Boise and features a popular swimming beach, a grassy picnic area, a waterslide and 5+ miles of trails for horseback riding, hiking, walking, or playing disc golf. Eagle Saturday Market
Taking place at Heritage Park on the corner of Second Street and Old State Street, the market provides everyone the opportunity to discovery what the flourish of local vendors and growers have to offer. Eagle Food and Wine Festival
This two day event should not be missed! The Eagle Food and Wine Festival starts on Friday, August 21st at the Stueckle Sky Center with the Gala Dinner and Auction. Various wineries are spotlighted with wine tasting and vintner conversations that involve and fascinate everyone.

The festival takes place on Saturday at Merrill Park and features Idaho Chefs who will prepare their signature dishes.
