Eagle Area Guide

Eagle was founded in 1862 with the discovery of gold in Boise Basin, as well as in other Idaho mountain locations to the north. Many came to the area to gain a fortune, whether it be through the hunt for gold or to provide desperately needed goods like agricultural products. The city of Eagle is a community that has maintained its rural charm in the otherwise increasingly urban setting of Southwestern Idaho. The town boasts open space, appealing but firm design standards, old style streetlights and tree lined streets all contribute to a city that confers an attractive allure to visitors and residents alike. Eagle is a family friendly town dedicated to their children’s education, public safety and their quality of life.

Parks and Recreations

In Eagle, the parks and recreations system plays a vital role in bringing the community together and building lasting friendships among its members. Eagle provides a beautiful park system and it is available to people of all ages to enjoy the diverse amenities each park provides.
